bank to bank, the river’s been drank
and the bed left behind is perfectly made
rain wash over me carry me down-
-stream til the sea touches its mouth
tire swing hung from a branch
swings slow above the water rushing past
i reach out and grab from underneath
and pull my body out from the flooded creek
dry off my skin and my bones
climb out the brush to a road
Some catchy tracks on here, and my guy is not afraid to rip a guitar solo. Sounds like Daniel Johnston country at times, and the album cover looks like a hip-hop record. Cidimon Arustavi
Dammit every track makes me smile. How did you do that? If a friend recommends this album to you, hang on to them because they're just as fabulously messed up as you are. I'd like to thank my bank for allowing me to buy things online again. Thank you. Everyone. Thanks. duskbringer
Thin Lear's sophisticated rock music is tempered with soaring chamber pop accents and an undeniable gift for melody. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 30, 2020
Char's writing here mines memory for the sweetness only reckoning and forgiveness can bring. Her strongest suite to date (I say this every time, tho) she sings with more confidence than ever on themes of certain fallibility and radical acceptance. She conveys courageously the beauty of not knowing what's next or what any of it ought to mean. With every song she sounds grateful for each breath and experience. Listeners will come out of this album with that same feeling :) destiny
